Europe spends €1bn to monitor space for asteroids, even if the actual risk of a civilisation-ending asteroid strike is close to zero’ but won’t ‘spend a fraction of that amount to adequately monitor a threat that is more imminent, more likely, & located here on Earth: a major change in the AMOC 👇

The verso with the 1906 postmark. It was sent to a Miss someone (name hard to decipher) in Dorchester Center, a neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts.
My copy of a postcard postmarked in Baltimore in 1906, nine years after the Mosaic of Minerva was installed in the Great Hall of the Thomas Jefferson Building at the Library Congress. The owl 🦉 by her right knee is hard to make out, but it’s there.

Frontispiece of the book on the quoted post 📕
