Was there myself a couple of weeks ago, mainly to see and photograph (he lies) a sign in my 'overweight 'g' collection' - something that I've commented on before.
On the A75 in D&G the eastbound sign has the oddity.

Today's amazing sign find, a 50+ year old direction sign that predated the realignment of the A585 or the completion of the M55, giving the impression of a primary B road.
It will originally have said (A583) under Preston.

Looking along University Ave to the newly completed Boyd Orr building in 1973.
It was designed by the architects Dorward, Matheson, Gleave and Partners and completed in 1972. It has eleven floors of teaching accommodation, with large lecture theatres on the ground floor.
