Truly enjoyed @rossellaciccia.bsky.social talk at GSS series on Conflicts over Care, but appalled by the state of train infrastructure in Copenhagen-Malmö (fire in tunnel, chaotic evacuation on her way in; suddenly cancelled trains & stops, broken doors homebound). Thought we are better, usually.
As typical academic, I show to people I admire them by inviting to brainstorm together a funding application. We didn’t talk abt. low acceptance rate; rather allowed ourselves to think theoretical interactions btw. inter-imperiality, knowledge regimes & resistances. Hopefully Södertörn is a charm🤞🏼

The inaugural symposium for KAW-project Conjunctures of struggles brought together researchers interested in gender & sexuality in contemporary context of democracy contestation. Two intense days filled w/h critical analysis & minute observation on these pressing issues.
To be clear, I am not saying ousted Bolojan cabinet was in any way a good thing (I forgot to add 4th coalition partner UDMR/RMDSZ also known as FIDESZ-branch in 🇷🇴), but PSD allying w/h pro-🇷🇺 AUR w/h ambition to form that ”stable pro-European government” is grotesque.
After a tortuous itinerary I made it to Newcastle. I’m looking forward to several days of vigorous & generous discussions on issues of gender & politics together w/h 750 other scholars at ECPG 2026.
So-called Social Democrats in 🇷🇴 PSD have allied w/h far-right AUR to topple the government they were part of together w/h conservative-right PNL and centre-right USR. EU level PES calls to forming of a ”stable pro-European government”. Bitter irony, as all Overton windows slammed open.
