Russian oil and gas revenues for April 2026 came in at 855,6 billion rubles up from 617 billion rubles in March. Month over month they are up 38,7% but compared to April 2025 they are down 21,1%. For the year so far oil revenues are down 38,3% to 2,3 trillion rubles.

Russian oil taxes for March 2026 came in at a 1000 Rubles higher than in February at 8007 rubles per ton or 47,6% lower year over year. Taxes are based on the prior month when the average Russian oil price was 44,59 USD and the average exchange rate 76,85 rubles per USD.
I guess we will get a video of the new Iranian leader soon if this is not the case. If true it reminds me of the Soviets electing Yuri Andropov and his successor, both dying after a bit more than a year in power due to poor health.
