I have this really hilarious memory of giving notice at my university research job right before walking into a SACRED Acts event and Pushkar telling me this was great actually and did I want to do some research work on IL campaign finance.

I know S as an all pro canvass captain so I'm already used to just going where they tell me but whew some powerful words tonight about community, justice & of course potholes.
There were so many moving pieces to this campaign and so many people with huge vision and heart behind it including Amisha Patel, who passed recently.
There was a guy I used to have a crush on who endured a lot of mental health struggles and I used to say "I'm with you in Rockland, Carl" because I thought it might make me sound smarter and more interesting and I later learned that Carl Solomon hated that line and said he was never in Rockland.
That, of course, makes it perfect.
Anyway, I think everyone should read more because it makes for a good story.

Listening to two of my favorite Chicago politics people chat it up about many things but in particular the recent IL Senate primary.
In December '25 Raja Krishnamoorthi had a 28 point lead and around $30m in campaign cash. The race was his to lose and #RejectRaja helped him do just that.
