When I was young and (more) anxious about public speaking I used to work phrases from Howl into presentations. Just a handful of words here and there.
I first read this essay in my early 20s bc one of my former colleagues loved weaving great essays and poetry and other beautiful language into our various presentations about city planning, affordable housing, and demography.
It's how I came to read a lot of good things.
