This game is dreadful
I mean the thing about this no-bid contract going so visibly wrong so quickly is that it's a weird coincidence because surely all the other corrupt no-bid contracts they're doing for things that aren't so visible are all producing perfect work that won't collapse or explode or whatever.
you really get the distinct sense that vance takes joy in nothing, which matters politically because voters like to know that you enjoy *something* about life
Given the growing evidence on cognitive offloading and skills erosion, this may be very prudent policy. And it will make for an informative social experiment, with much of the US serving as an counterexample

Many people immediately said "correlation isn't causation" without reading the paper. I'm happy to see that acknowledged, but the approach is more sophisticated than simple correlation, and I appreciate Dr. Dowd's deeper dive.
Though IMO the title should be "DiD the iPhone cause the baby bust?"
