Many people immediately said "correlation isn't causation" without reading the paper. I'm happy to see that acknowledged, but the approach is more sophisticated than simple correlation, and I appreciate Dr. Dowd's deeper dive.
Though IMO the title should be "DiD the iPhone cause the baby bust?"
