New bike lane striping on 18th/17th Streets in Oakland going in this week, Market to MLK Jr Way. The section over 980 in the second photo will get post separation in the buffer space.

In addition to but separate from the 18th St project referenced in the KQED piece, Oakland is nearing completion now on a new 18th St bike lanes segment from Market to MLK.
I’m excited for this raised, protected bike waiting area at Brush that the infrastructure committee I co-chair advocated for.
