I joined my wife this year in writing Pride Cards. She sent to organizations she supports but I just wrote to people; I don’t do Christmas cards, but here is a season that is meaningful to me and a good time to think of both the folks I love AND those who came before us, so it’s apropos.
Felt good.
The last hour of my very good vacation to California. I saw good friends I had not seen in years! I got hella stoned, I bawled in a movie theater, and I stayed with the best hosts I could ask for twice in a row.
What a totally fabulous time.
My co-worker: “Oof, it’s dead in here, even for a Thursday.”
Me, a portmanteau enthusiast: “Yeah, it’s a real Slow Thursday. A Slursday. Wait no, not that!”
Him: “I guess that’s a day when you’re allowed to say whatever with no consequences? Like The Purge but for saying slurs.”
Me: “The Slurge.”

Guy who has only seen The Boss Baby, walking out of The Amazing Digital Circus The Last Act: I don’t know, the reveal just felt unearned without the Boss Baby onscreen. They should’ve done a tenth episode where we get to see how the Boss Baby fits in to it all. I don’t think Jax even is a Boss Baby!
