In two weeks I’ll be on a plane to Copenhaguen! Bikes! Bikes! Bikes!
FYI to the world: The cover art for the new edition of Plague Birds is not AI generated. Two people messaged me asking, so I want to be clear the art is purely human created.
Marcela Bolívar created the art for this cover and didn't use any AI at all. 1/
wow wait are you telling me you can create a vibrant pedestrian space without 10 years of consultation and a terribly rolled out underfunded pilot? you can just DO it?
I had my 4-speed Brompton converted to a 12-speed. It was it’s first ride to work this morning. I love the new range and the weight is still low. Thanks to Paul at Dumoulin in Montréal! (If you have seen my bike stealthily brought into my work office: no you haven’t)
Outremont fucking things up?
It's a long tradition.

This was a nightmare ride when I used to commute across town on this street pre bike lanes.
On top of the bike lane, this project also beefed up intersections, with more space and visibility for pedestrians and cyclists crossing.
CORRECTION: The [street] is [definately open].

One year ago, this was parking.
I’m going to make this as clear as I can—this World Cup Granville Street transformation HAS to lead to at least seasonal if not permanent pedestrianization. NOT JUST REMOVING VEHICLES. Joyous, magnetic place-making! Enough timidness. We’re the smartest city that’s still being dumb about ped-streets.
