I think I've almost got this redesign nailed down! If it weren't for an idea I just had: if I make her plane mode more like a sailplane, then I could change her transformation slightly, and possibly give her torso more detail.

I did a panel earlier this year on character development, and the idea of "earned subversion," where there an "earned" payoff to keeping a characters traits very consistent for a long time, for the purpose of getting to make jokes way later on in their arc. This is my favorite example of this 😭😭
