This is VOZ. And he's the most special boy and we would die for him. He's a sharp-dressed, fastidious, and demure little guy. AND WHO DOESN'T LOVE A LITTLE GUY? The only way you can find out more about him, is to SIGN UP at shecomeswithmagic.com. THIS PRECIOUS BABY from @christieporter.bsky.social.
Today is the birthday of writer & editor Len Wein (June 12, 1948-Sept. 10, 2017). He cocreated Swamp Thing, Wolverine, & most of the new X-Men when he helped revive the team in 1975, and wrote virtually every major hero at Marvel & DC at some point.
My first introduction to X-Men in media was the 90’s animated series, but Giant-Size X-Men #1 was my very first X-Men comic that I ever read, and still to this day I consider it one of the best comics ever written, and a lot of that can be attributed to Len Wein’s writing and Dave Cockrum’s art.
Happy Pride! Absolute Mojoverse is back to visit colleges, put too many toppings on a hot dog, and school Superman in sensitivity as we read Galaxy As the World Falls Down by @planetx.bsky.social and @ryehickman.bsky.social ! #comicsky
I wish there was a book like Galaxy when I was a kid which is a really hopeful thought. sometimes it feels like all we can do is helplessly watch the world get worse for the next generation, but a book like this existing at this dangerous time to be a queer person is a glimpse of a better world.
This comic introduced the “Second Genesis” team, and sparked what would become Chris Claremont’s legendary sixteen year run on X-Men, later retitled Uncanny X-Men. Len Wein made a lot of significant contributions to the medium of comics, but his X-Men work will always hold a special place for me.
Rest in Peace to the 49 people who died in the Pulse Nightclub Shooting 10 years ago.
It's been 10 years. We should be talking about this as a major anniversary of something horrible that will never be forgotten and never happen again.
Instead, we're losing memorials. But I won't forget.
After a long hiatus, the Post- @awesomecons episode is finally coming! Technical difficulties & crazy life events have delayed this episode for months!!! Here we talk cons, and of course episodes 9 - 12 which contain some of the Gracie’s things we’ve seen thus far!!
Today is the birthday of the great Len Wein. Here's an excerpt from a tribute to Len I wrote a decade or so back. We miss you, Len.
The mass shooting at Pulse in 2016 was the deadliest single act of violence against LGBTQ+ people in America.
A decade later, we explore what’s changed, what hasn’t, and why we must continue to work to protect queer lives from gun violence.
