A big thank you to NINDS and the NIH for this amazing opportunity. Looking forward to finishing up my training by learning new skills and exploring questions about descending modulation that could have implications for treating #chronicpain.
Thank you @usasp.bsky.social and #NAPainSchool! I am truly grateful for this opportunity and chance to learn from the best this summer! 😎🙌

Fascinating new work reveals how anti-CV2/CRMP5 autoantibodies may be a potential driver of neuropathic pain in paraneoplastic syndromes. This mechanistic insight suggests a new therapeutic approach for patients. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

So excited to share our preprint uncovering FGFR3 autoantibodies as pathogenic drivers of pain sensitization.
Using patient serum, human DRG and rat models, we found that autoantibodies can find FGFR3 on sensory neurons to induce hyperexcitability and hypersensitivity.
