Unpopular opinion, but if I have to code something and do a pull request in order to make a piece of software do the thing you say it's built to do, it's unfinished and fundamentally broken software and im not gonna be bothered with it lmao

Requiring a github pull is the opposite of accessible. Begging Linux guys to understand that "accessible" isnt a synonym for "free of charge."

The second you are asking regular people who are the usual consumers of things like Photoshop to pull from github to make a piece of software usable for them, you have completely closed the door to them using it and you're being delusional.

GIMP is objectively unintuitive and also can’t parse text layers of PSDs properly, it’s designed by FOSS people that have never created tools for professionals. Telling someone to use it for their job is like saying you can make a feature on iMovie. Technically true but not serious.
