I’m curious how the Chris part is executed. I enjoyed it, but switching to his character and just retreading the same ground I was a bit mixed on. I’m also curious if the game retains the brutal difficulty of the original. Like it’s part of the game’s identity, so they should go nuts I think.

That castle section is maybe the peak of the series for me. Just perfectly paced, structured, and visualized. No fat just a perfect area.
(The bigger reason I stopped playing RE2R is because I played it SO MUCH when it came out that I’ve basically burned myself off of that game for life lol.)
It was a great time to play Code Veronica I see. No expectations for the remake. It’ll be sad to see the goofy, surreal tone of the original gone, but I’m looking forward to a different take. I’m curious what ends up on the cutting room floor. I actually think the game would benefit from some cuts.
I had to stop playing RE2 Remake because while I do like that game, it unfortunately completely pales in comparison to Village. I genuinely think it’s the best Resident Evil game in a decade not including 7. Going through a hardcore run and man it’s so damn fun.
