Rage-baiting for Fun not Profit
Currently playing the Fall's Peel Session version of Blindness, which is the best recorded version - but the definitive version is of course this: If it isn't the best Fall song ever (I concede it might just be top 5) then we can agree surely that it's by the far best song about David Blunkett ever

Off to see Simon on his shoegaze book tour in Bristol next week…
England’s kit should have referenced Aubrey Beardsley or Austin Osman Spare. Leonora Carrington would have been cool. Even a Pre-Raphaelite would have done. Could see Bridget Reilly working. Or Turner! Do better, England.
This is how we ended up with Terry Riley & Steve Reich. We need more of this.
That “Keep this frequency clear” sample drop was thrilling in the way that people got excited by guitar solos or vocal trills, as was hearing the Terminator X sirens… I had Cabs / TG etc records by then but this stuff (+ the JAAMS) seemed somehow like the revolution was coming.
The extended mix of Beat Dis came on in the car & I was reminded of the visceral thrill of just hearing random TV & film shit emerge from these tracks when they came out. m.youtube.com/watch?v=6N7x...
