So I showed up to my parents house and my dad did actually give me a gift. Not for Father’s Day specifically but still.
Then my dog ate something that she shouldn’t have and we had to induce vomiting and I cut my foot on a rock and bled all over my parents patio. What a day.
To be clear, my kids have a dad in their lives. They live with him three days a week. They say they are going for bike rides and sneak into his apartment to eat six hot dogs (a real thing my daughter did today).
But someone has to be the dad at my house. And it’s me.
For answering “I’m bored” with “hi bored, I’m mom.”
Tomorrow is Father’s Day. As a single mom, I think I also deserve a gift. For all the times I’ve told them to close the door and stop air conditioning the outside. For complaining about leaving the lights on. For standing on the patio and saying “we really need this rain.”
I have a teenage daughter that won’t shut up about it if that interests you at all.
The student has become the father.
Nooooooooooooooooo
Breakfast
Yeah a lot of lefties do that generally to avoid smudging things. I never quite got the hang of it but maybe i should try some more. I remember it being hard on the wrist lol.
Medium seems to work best because if you are pushing rather than pulling you aren’t engaging the flow of the pen the same way, so you need enough ink to come out at once to write something still. I just use fast drying ink. It’s really engaging the nib that seems to be the hardest part.
