So I showed up to my parents house and my dad did actually give me a gift. Not for Father’s Day specifically but still. Then my dog ate something that she shouldn’t have and we had to induce vomiting and I cut my foot on a rock and bled all over my parents patio. What a day.
For answering “I’m bored” with “hi bored, I’m mom.”
To be clear, my kids have a dad in their lives. They live with him three days a week. They say they are going for bike rides and sneak into his apartment to eat six hot dogs (a real thing my daughter did today). But someone has to be the dad at my house. And it’s me.
Tomorrow is Father’s Day. As a single mom, I think I also deserve a gift. For all the times I’ve told them to close the door and stop air conditioning the outside. For complaining about leaving the lights on. For standing on the patio and saying “we really need this rain.”
People who make custom character keepers or form fillable character sheets for games that don't have them already are the backbone of this community and you all deserve a little kiss
