The family of the Belfast stabbing victim have released a statement saying - like the family of Henry Nowak last week - that the attack should not be used to "divide people or fuel hostility"
They condemned disorder and praised the "valuable contribution" by migrants

Not to be all "what are you doing" but is there going to be any actual practical changes arising from a series of far right riots leaving people afraid and trapped in their own homes?

This was a race riot.
Families were driven from their homes. People were targeted because of who they are and where they come from.
Words matter. Those who fuel hatred and division bear responsibility too.
We have more in common than that which divides us.
Tell me about it. I despair at the inaction that has become the calling card of the Prime Minister.
No doubt there will be a statement about how angry he is and if the companies in question don’t do something he’ll launch a consultation.
