The really crazy thing about this concept is that it actually might work. We're overdo for a massive, enduring holiday song, and a show that drives the public to listen to contenders over and over again could give one (or even more than one!) enough of a push.

I just hope it's not structured in a way that forces contestants to sign away the rights to their work to the producers. Seems likely that'll be part of the deal, though.
