Brett has basically assembled The Avengers of high school English. Already excited to be a part of this session!
I don’t know that it’s always tragic. My favorite admin was an English teacher who worked next to me for years and she never forgot what it was like to be a teacher.
Just got word (after 10:00pm CST) that I didn’t get placed as an AP. All’s well; it was a good and necessary experience.
Now it’s time to really step out of my comfort zone and find somewhere I can grow. 🌺💛

I think I’ll go back to the classroom. Teaching has my heart real bad.
But my district is at an impasse and it’s specifically impacting secondary ELAR teachers. I’ve done incredible work in my department, but so many teachers never get the support they need and deserve and it’s hard to ignore.
but so many come into teaching without the skills and supports do be and do great. I want to do work that facilitates and sustains good teachers and good teaching, so I’m taking this step to do that.”
