It's immensely satisfying to *finally* organize my book notes, but it sure is exhausting. This is a lot of information. (Once upon a time, everything was neat and tidy, and then I started drafting the novel and everything fell to chaos.)

The first gift Amarantha has ever received was a bouquet of blue lily flowers from her mother. This is what her cosmic core diverted to when it had to assume a simpler form. She also always wears these flowers on her head, since day one. Her mom has left a huge mark in her mind, as you see. :)

Piranesi by Susanna Clarke. Read it through the library, then bought both the ebook and paperback because I loved it so much.
Then came along the characters in my current WIP, who reminded me what it can mean to pour your truest self into something. To shape a story and a world in a way only you can. Industry expectations (real or percived) be damned. Given a choice, I'm never giving that up. (2/2)
