I hate how Microsoft owns some of the best studios on the entire business and treats them all like trash because it grossly overspent getting Activision Blizzard. I hope whatever studios they drop can go independent and not just close and die.
Today I'm working on my job resume and watching the bad Hellraiser sequels. No, not those ones. The even worse ones without Doug Bradley that just existed to keep the license. Yeah. These are my plans for the day. Suffering.
Just to name a few studios off the top of my head - Ninja Theory, Obsidian, inXile, Double Fine, Compulsion, Rare...all of them created games that affect me to this day. Stripping them for parts and chucking the rest is blasphemous.
And the bad news just keeps coming. Not every game has been a winner, but I always wanted to see what Dontnod would do next.
What a bleak day for the industry.
Its super bleak seeing gaming articles from established gaming sites post articles on Facebook and all the comments are the same bootlickers excusing corporate greed or AI use or devs using racist or sexist content. I know its a site that feeds on bots and bad actors but its so fucking depreasing.
