Ugh, I should've have upscaled the first screenshot, rookie mistake... the pixel art is so good, but bluesky destroys anything low resolution. Let's try that again:

Saw some influencers in Tokyo saying they're lonely after years in Japan, tired of saying goodbye to people...
I feel it's much easier for me because this is my second round – I went through the same thing after moving to São Paulo in 2005 – the loneliness as the novelty wears off and people leave.
It's really weird how Western games media are (rightfully) aggressive against AI, openly calling out games & developers for using it in any way, but happily suck down to Xbox - even part of independent media.
Since we can now have 10 images per post, let me recommend 10 recent indie games!
All from the past 3 years, no big obvious hits. No AI or genocide support either! Names & descriptions on Alt Text.
Lately I've been slowly making my way through Wizardry 6... maybe I'll finally do the legendary 6-8 save transfer.
Cool vibes, the castle feels like an actual place with multiple environments, despite the game only having one wall texture.
But it's tricky to map, as levels can have any size/shape!
You just know the big gaming podcasts this week will have a segment on how Crazy Taxi using AI is disgusting, followed by 45 minutes of excited discussion about the latest announcements from the Genocide Enabling Company.

You give up a lot when you move but loss is a natural part of life, you'll endure some even if you never leave.
But if you're living abroad, these things get mixed with guilt & regret... It can be tough. Old man rant, but I'm glad I moved here when I was almost 30. That maturity & exp helped a lot.

I've played vertical dungeons before, like Umbra Towers in Labyrinth of Refrain, but there's far more verisimilitude here.
Details like how you climb the castle towers and "see" (in text) other areas of the castle in the distance. It gives a cohesive vibe similar to Castlevânia:SotN / Dark Souls 1.
Wizardry 6 is just fascinating overall... after taking over the series & perfecting the Wizardry formula in 5 (the one 99% of Japanese dungeon-crawlers copy), Bradley used 6 & 7 to reinvent the series.
It literally starts by lying to you - you can't go back to town and heal, you are locked inside!
