Can you imagine the reaction if these countries started touting support from each other?

When that support for England is not forthcoming. The outrage, offence, pouted lips just highlights the deep-seated insecurity and low self-worth the English people have in just being 'English'

Give yourselves a shake and support England and stop being a pain in the arse asking others
But! England - good grief, what an insecure lot you are with regard to how you people feel about yourselves and your nation. That you prostitute yourselves, your dignity, self-respect and honour asking another nation 'will you be supporting England' its demeaning, humiliating and embarrassing.

They would not even think of doing it. Their own self-respect, dignity and national pride would dictate 'we don't want nor need it and if you do give it - piss off.
The national team is there representing their own country and its people and nobody else.
