Today, I was in a conversation about the World Cup with a British guy, and I referred to it as "soccer."
And he condescendingly responds: "We don't play 'soccer' here, love."
And I'm like: "Well, clearly. It'll be a miracle if y'all make the semifinals."
And he got real quiet after that.
