It is a little weird how still so many people take it as somehow just a given that Israel has the right to maraud and destroy large swathes of Lebanon and occupy it forever and Iran is unreasonable for saying no
For context, McCain has been caught doing corruption multiple times, including trying to have a naval enlisted guy put in permanent mental confinement for ratting on him doing his corruption to have the taxpayer pay for a family reunion for him on a base in the bahamas and Obama never brought it up.
Certainly not the only way, but it is in fact one of them and probably the easiest in terms of cost-benefit.
So unfortunately it seems to just be undeniably the case that running agitative, left-wing campaigns for office is the easiest way to project agitative, left-wing ideas and convince people to be agitative and left-wing.
