I guess that's an upside of university staff life. On one hand, it's got a touch of Groundhog Day. On the other, you do it enough times and it gets you thinking. 🤷🏼
You know, it's funny, I don't have a section in my usual work write-up template for that kind of thing! For my boring bullet points for she HR form I mentioned helping 6 students get things accepted to ACH, but generally the sort of review and feedback work is invisible even with me!
Today the local 10-year-old has learned the hard way that one sprays sunscreen at a distance for even coverage, not up close and directly into the eyes like a cop with pepper spray.
Their 8-year-old sister victim is taking it with remarkable grace.

My girlfriend really wanted me to show her kid how to use ChatGPT to do line art and cartoon versions of photos, over my objections.
So I showed him, and he hated the result even with edits. Instead he Photoshopped a photo of his head on Luffy's body and loved it. Just like the old ways.
Not even primarily the citational practices themselves, but the method by which one implements them!
