This is an interesting experiment in trying to reach/persuade some of these hard-to-reach constituencies for Dems, and you should pay attention to it
Regardless of the GOP gerrymandering and VRA section 2 being struckdown, Dems are still at ~85-90% of taking the House. Senate is due to solid recruits and many red states swinging 15 pts left
In Iowa, 58 percent of these targeted working class voters see the economy worsening and blame Trump for it. In Michigan, 63 percent of these voters blame Trump. In North Carolina, 51 percent of these voters blame Trump. In Pennsylvania, 54 percent of these voters blame Trump.
New Emerson poll has Dems +10 in the generic House ballot matchup. That's consistent with the findings I report on here: Majorities of working class voters blaming Trump/GOP for their economic struggles in red-leaning House districts.

After extensive polling, Democrats have hit on "Government for the people." Better late than never! "what appears to work is a populist economics that centers villains, hits Trump and Republicans for enabling them, and pledges action."

This is good stuff from @gregsargent.bsky.social and leaves me with some hope. But only if the bloody donkeys actually offer a relatable and ambitious agenda and then actually spend their political capital on doing stuff. Regent history is not kind here.
Democrats can use the GOP and Trump’s dreadful handling of the economy to expand the map – here’s specifically how via @gregsargent.bsky.social.
"In Michigan, 63 percent of these voters blame Trump, and 61 percent blame the GOP." It's always the economy, stupid, and already it's a no-brainer. A little bit will go a long way in places like MI-1, and I hope they put in the effort.
Truly wild how voters always unfairly blame/credit the president for the economy, but Trump 2.0 has been so reckless and incompetent that the usual voter instinct is 100% correct this time

What the majority of pundits (not Greg) get wrong is in thinking when WWC voters open to voting for Dems say they want the party to move to the center, they don't mean they want mealy-mouthed Third Way corporate centrist candidates. Those voters want populism.

Important: New internal polling by Dems finds majorities of working class in some pretty red House districts blame Trump/GOP for their economic struggles. This is why Dems are contesting tough seats. Good to see they're expanding the map. Details in my new piece: newrepublic.com/article/2116...

Some new research on working-class voters makes it clear. They’re furious at Trump—and they want a message from Democrats that pledges specific action.

Why Is Trump Tanking in MAGA Country? These Dems Found a Good Answer.
These working class voters respond well to a populist economics that centers villains (pharma, corporate price gouging, etc), hits Trump/GOP for enabling them, and pledges Dem action. They don't like the tariffs and the war. There's a big opening for Dems here: newrepublic.com/article/2116...
