Yes, but also to bypass reading. I recently marked a critical review assignment; we had a few which were probably written by AI, but not many. We had a lot where I suspect the student had asked AI to summarise the paper, and suggest critiques (which it did fairly badly).

This is egregious, in so many ways. That battery of tests, which the author claims took around 35-40 minutes to complete? The mismatch between the tests described and the results reported? Where did "Saddest memory" come from?

It will be built primarily out of asbestos, and they'll somehow manage to turn the land under it into a cholera pit and an ancient sacred burial ground combined, just to make it harder to get rid.
I so feel this. A while back I bought eight mid-entury kitchen chairs at auction. When I went to pick them up in my vauxhall astra, I got some very dubious looks. I felt _extremely_ smug once they were all comfortably in the car.
Seems like it can't be _that_ hard if we need multiple children's prisons...
