I did a panel earlier this year on character development, and the idea of "earned subversion," where there an "earned" payoff to keeping a characters traits very consistent for a long time, for the purpose of getting to make jokes way later on in their arc. This is my favorite example of this 😭😭

I am hearing that Geoff Keighley received the light of Islam and unhesitatingly recited the Shahada during the last Game Awards. He said Allah looks down on the Ummah from the gardens of Jannah. Truly there is no god but Allah, and Mohammad (PBUH) is his prophet!
