good old reddit. i already got as much of an answer as i might, fortunately.
I accept decreeing the question does not fit with what the group is supposed to be about but not suggesting that i read the rules again and just engage differently, like i came for general atmosphere with no specific goal.

but i need to redraw a bunch of monsters from an old video game and this one is next, and i ask: outside of this instance have you ever seen a medieval or fantasy weapon with blades on opposite ends of a staff but both pointing the same way?
was that issue with the art fight event organizer keeping donations as pure profit instead of giving them to volunteers ever resolved?
i don't know enough about reptilian combat to think of a sensible way that you could fight while holding something like that with both your hands the same way but that doesn't mean it is impossible, but I am unable to ask the original artist "Logan Gilbert" if he just made this up on a whim
i hope that they can be friends
does anybody outside that bubble accept explanations like this?
I have no hatred, i just think you are utterly without morals and should suffer eternally based on not wanting to have sex with who i think i think god says you should and my friends agree i'm right

ah ha a typically angry-seeming reddit person eventually inadvertently reminded me of a star trek weapon of which an obscure type similar to the one in this picture is shown. unfortunately the video evidence only shows someone taking it off a shelf, not actually using it. youtu.be/mjR8znjHH7o?...
shortly afterward i also have to draw this very similar monster but i can see that the blades are oriented in a more traditional fashion, and likewise the hands grip it differently.
