I don’t care what people say, Modern C++ is starting to get really cool.

For example, C++26 compile-time reflection uses this neat little trick to represent heterogeneous data with a single, scalar value (std::meta::info).

This value is *technically* an ID into the compiler's AST.

#Palantir loses big in #Swiss court. Commercial Court of Zurich ruled: Palantir dismissed on 22 of 23 claims in its lawsuit against Republik Magazine over a joint investigation with WAV Research Collective. 95% of the tech company's demands rejected. A win for investigative reporting #PressFreed

SpaceX is now worth more than Switzerland's annual GDP. Elon's entire "futurist" playbook was written decades ago—literally. Cyril Kornbluth predicted this exact grift in "The Space Merchants" (1952) and satirized the power dynamics in "The Marching Morons."
Phones are addictive, creepy, and surprisingly political.

A late spring outbreak of righteous indignation is affecting Britain. It’s yet another variant of Palantir Derangement Syndrome. Virologists tracked this smug neurosis as it jumped across the Atlantic...

Let’s face the truth. We are in an abusive relationship with our phones.

This is your phone on feminism
'Love without trust is the definition of an abusive relationship.' That resonat with me—and it might explain why I stopped using smartphones. I couldn’t pinpoint exactly why they made me feel uneasy, but I think I understand now. Years ago, I carried a work phone in a corporate environment where it had to be always on. The constant external pressure was exhausting. When I finally abandoned mobile phones altogether, I felt relieved. But comparing smartphones to abusive relationships crystallized something I’d been struggling to articulate: the erosion of autonomy, the constant surveillance, the feeling of being controlled. Phones are addictive, creepy, and surprisingly political. Thanks to @[email protected], I came across a brilliant feminist analysis by @[email protected] that connected surveillance capitalism to gendered power dynamics—showing how these systems target and manipulate users in ways similar to how patriarchy itself operates. It’s a reminder that feminism offers practical insight into broader societal problems, but it can be extremely illuminating when applied to technology—and one day, maybe even help us build tech we can actually trust. https://conversationalist.org/2019/09/13/feminism-explains-our-toxic-relationships-with-our-smartphones/ It’s worth reading. #TechAbuse #DigitalRights #FeministAnalysis #SurveillanceCapitalism #DigitalAutonomy #TechAndGend #FeministTech #DigitalWellbeing

Elon's SpaceX bros just lost to reality
Someone please explain to me as if I am five years old how a company I funded with my tax dollars is worth over a trillion dollars without being profitable or having ROI. A loss of $4.94 billion in 2025 against $18.67 billion in revenue. #RugPull #SpaceX
