We replaced textbooks with "ed tech." Half the time my kids need to study for a test, they can't access the information they were taught in class bc it's all fragmented behind various apps. If you want your kids to retain any information, you have to re-teach at home. This is where we are at.

Personally, I find it really difficult going back to read books written by cishet dudes with zero idea of feminism or diversity, and I find it jarring and alarming that basically 99% of the online recommendations and bookstore shelves are dedicated to them.
