I remember the bombs. I remember walking past burning cars to get to work. I remember the shootings. I remember the fear. I remember the hope everyone felt as we voted for the Good Friday agreement. I remember us believing that future generations wouldn't have to suffer this.
I have to say, listening to the Today programme dedicate an entire (context free) section about whether migrants are more likely to be convicted criminals *the morning after* hundreds of non-migrants of my own ethnicity committed a pogrom is blood boiling.
