Al-Sheikh's interest in buying #dcfc is real. Assuming the deal goes through, Derby will pass from a unicorn local multi-millionaire to an autocrat associated with many alleged human rights abuses, who just wants the glamour of being involved in the Premier League. Much to ponder. Post to follow.

I no longer post to X, but was made aware yesterday that the Saudi government official Turki Alalshikh started following my account there, along with several other accounts relating to #dcfc. We've no idea yet why he's taken the sudden interest, but the account appears to be real (7.3m followers).
