Scientists at the IOI and Oxford's Department of Pharmacology have identified a protein in MRSA bacteria that helps it develop antimicrobial resistance (#AMR).
This new research will allow them to develop new ways of slow the development of AMR.

Researchers from Ineos Oxford Institute for antimicrobial research (IOI) have discovered that cephalosporins, a widely used class of antibiotics, can block a key enzyme that SARS-CoV-2 needs to replicate - 120 compounds were investigated.
