Okay, folks: The big El Niño update is now out on Weather West! This sure looks like it's going to be a dramatic year from a global climate perspective, and there are major implications for extreme events (across California, the U.S. West, & well beyond).
At this point, the 'space race' is an exploitive neocolonial project and it's unlikely to end well.
This did NOT end well ...
I don’t know how anyone can read the soul-crushing news on basically every front and not conclude that we need foundational and revolutionary change in the United States. Everything must be on the table for reconsideration.
Already about 40,000 man-made objects orbiting, with dozens to hundreds hundred often overhead in your local slice of sky at any given time ...
