I only recently learned that horseshoe crabs have been a huge part of our medical system due to their BLUE ANTIBACTERIAL COPPER BASED BLOOD 💦🦀
Over harvesting of horseshoe crabs for this blood as well as fishing bait and street food has left vulnerable to extinction.
