More thoughts on Backrooms: It took me a while to adjust to the unhurried pace—few cuts, many long shots—but it pays off. It reminded me of the first time I saw Solaris. Tarkovsky had no problem making you watch a car drive down the freeway for 15 minutes. It was hypnotic.
