tbh the @seung.bsky.social piece about the problems associated with Seoul's Line 9 is kinda funny because I think the problems are very real but "We underbuilt a line that has ridiculous amounts of usage" is like, least problem a new transit line can have www.substack-bahn.net/p/hell-line-...
Important things to remember about rail in the USA: 1. In almost all suburbs your destinations and origins are too diffuse to win suburb to suburb circumferential trips 2. you're probably providing bad radial service 3. You're probably providing bad urban service (both circumferential and radial)
Like in the USSR you had Kultura where you expected truck drivers to read tolstoy and go to the ballet and shit lmfao
Wow imagine the odds that you could train an Opus 4.6 class model in just 3 months with only $25 million and do such a good job that your model itself thinks it’s Claude Opus in the reasoning trace. There’s no other explanation for that except just being better at AI than those lazy Americans.
tbh it is kinda interesting that in the past even anti-elitist acknowledged that the working class had undesirable practices that should be corrected rather than this idea that not rolling around in your own filth is unforgivable elitism lol
