Make students rediscover evolution by reasoning. Check out this project! Students never exposed to evolution used evolutionary thinking to interpret the results. Only afterward we connected this to biology!
If you try it, reach out to us (@izziehb.bsky.social and me) 😊 We'd love to hear feedback!

Ah ok, yes the note is a good idea. But also in the main text I've found a bit weird the def of s_net implies additive effects, right after the section on why one should consider that multiplicative effects. Which is why I checked S1. But in any case, really great paper 👏🤩 I enjoyed the read a lot!

For big enough s and c (or long enough evo time) the average fitness overshoots (compared to geom mean), as you explained. I wonder if in the case of your work that approximation is really needed/appropriate. [2/2]

Beautiful work!!! 👏
Question: you derived the selection direction threshold starting from the geom mean (in S1.2), but then, due to an approximation for small s and c, you get a result consistent with simply averaging fitness (as in the def of s_net) rather than geom mean fitness. But [1/2]
