Important travel PSA: if you are staying at a certain hotel chain, which provides only a small trash can per room further divided into two ridiculously small compartments for trash/ recycling, DO NOT, like an idiot, waste time trying to fit all recyclables into the the appropriate compartment. —>
The hotel does not recycle anything. It all goes into trash. I learned this after the carefully arranged recycling was overflowing, so I inquired where I should empty it myself. The dude at the front desk laughed at me and explained that during his two decades in the hospitality biz, he knows of —>
No hotel that has a recycling contract. The hotel chain apparently insists that all rooms be provided with the same undersized trash receptacles. DO NOT BE FOOLED.
