2. Email signatures. Some editors include a wishlist paragraph below the contact info in their signature, and just update as their editorial needs change. This allows the agent to not just see the editor's current wishlist but also how their tastes have evolved when looking back at prior emails.

3. Time stamped one-sheets. It may sound simple, but some imprints don't have their one-sheets date-stamped, perhaps because the email they sent it through has a time-stamp. But once it's disseminated through the agency, the origin is often lost, so including a date in the footer of the pdf helps.

Happy May, #kidlitartpostcard ! 🤣😳 I'm an author-illustrator infusing humor and hope into stressful situations to create touchstones for anxious and inquisitive children. Rep'd by @jestrudel.bsky.social at @therightsfactory.bsky.social Portfolio RachelRCreates.com #picturebooks #scbwi

1. A live document. Some imprints maintain a live document in Google Docs or Dropbox that agents are able to access, but only the editors at the imprint can change. This allows them to update wishlists or add/remove editors as the imprint evolves.

A relative started a conversation about abortion on Facebook with graphic descriptions of what an abortion would look like if you saw it happening outside the body, and of course conversations ensued. But at the end of the day, I think *this* is what everyone misses about the abortion conversation.

I'm updating and re-organizing my contacts database. I can now see that I've lost about 10% of children's editor contacts to retirements, imprints scaling back, lay offs, and mergers. That's not counting the ones that are currently unknowns as I wait to see if/where they land. #amagenting #kidlit
Negotiating publishing contracts over coffee. A great way to start the day! ☕ #amagenting
HAPPY PRIDE!
Editor friends! I've been updating my contacts database to make tracking submissions and wishlists easier, and wanted to share a couple of cool things I see editors doing to keep their wishlists accessible and up-to-date:
