Some international relations training is also helpful, and to further increase your predictive power, I recommend learning how the European Union works. But the key field for predicting Putin's behavior is game theory.
So it's going to end up being exactly like what President Obama negotiated in 2015... except Iran gets $300 billion so they can increase shipping weapons to Russia and maintain the balance of power in the Middle East. Nothing will fundamentally change.
