🚨 the ecosystem is delicate #atmosphereconf
there's a LOT of enthusiasm + talent, but:
- no magical investor monies
- grant options are THIN
- many first time founders
- many don't want investment
- few other options
- scary macro env
it's a collective challenge
we can just pay for things?

I'm happy with my PDS host but wanted to learn more about self-hosting. Thanks to @mk.gg , I had @jluther.org up and running in 3 minutes with github.com/ascorbic/cir.... Super cool. #SelfHosting

below are some themes/observations
we need to talk a LOT more about funding to achieve an Atmosphere where builders have stable housing, food to eat, and healthcare
After the Atmospheric Publishing Discussion session yesterday at #atmosphereconf, I was even more excited about #atprotocol, which I didn't think was possible.
Haven't really traveled for work since 2022 (!). I see the vaguely ominous WiFi "captive portal" is still a thing.
