Oregon police have continued to shake the trust of immigrant rights advocates as immigration detentions appear to rise. A recent lawsuit alleges Oregon State Police have violated sanctuary laws and new trends reported by PIRC may indicate new issues.
Meanwhile the UK is busy charging pro-Palestine activists as terrorists for destroying weapons used in a genocide, but their police in Belfast were warned for months about the addresses targeted in the Belfast riots.
P4A suggests PPB already has what it needs to reduce response times, especially since crime, notably violent crime, is down. Street Roots has previously debunked claims of a ‘crime wave,’ which Aaron Schmautz with the Portland Police Association continued to push during Trump’s federal crackdown.
SOURCE CALL: If you or someone you know is a former/current Trump supporter who has had a perspective change because of data centers impacting the community, please reach out to me on signal @ scooba.41 I’m interested especially in rural Oregonians, but open to all.

KATU News recently posted a video about cuts to Portland Police and response times. I do think it’s important to point out concerning data from Portland for All showing a massive slowdown in police response times vs. fire (182% vs 11%), despite staffing for both remaining stable since 2022.
Take note of how corporate media covers violent race riots in Northern Ireland. They're quick to use the word "riot" when people respond to growing violence against immigrants in the US. But I think we can acknowledge burning someone's home because they're Black is pretty different than a Waymo.
A riot could accurately describe both, but why keep vague-posting about a "night of violence" when it's far-right fascists and a global neo-Nazi youth group orchestrating violence against minorities?
