also despite the fact that we are under constant threat by government tyrrany and AI slop, so much of this current climate of fear comes from our *own* commewnities. queers who attack other queers over their art are the lowest of the low, theyre stamping out any sense of hope or camraderie tbh
i hate how this current era is making literally every artist ive encountered feel like they need to limit/censor themselves in some way across the board, often secondguessing over very small things. i feel it Constantly too, despite nyat posting anything all that transgressive
thinking about how i was still a highschooler when we originally started making copy kitty, and how gamerboys online back then felt empowered to say really weird mean stuff to my face because of the "deviantart quality" of my art at the time. all i can say is im glad i stuck with it
