Hiatus. Cancelled. Wilderness years. Wait and see.
It's all out of the fan's hands, of course. At least for televized Doctor Who. I just hope that this possible wilderness years part 2 brings with it a new generation of fan creators, writing novels, making comics and audio dramas and fan films. When there was no Doctor Who on Television, the fan community stepped up and filled that void with unrestrained creativity and a loose interpretation of international copyright law. I can't wait to see what you all make!
My bio for the Doctor Who novelizations that I illustrated started "Robert has been drawing Doctor Who since he was 5 years old, and professionally since 2008.". So, I suppose personally, I'm just hoping to keep stumbling into the occasional Doctor Who gig, because I love that daft old show and love being a small part of it.
